We Rock Your Trail
Ramapo State Forest, Ringwood NJ. Popular hiking bridge repair.
This bridge repair was a joint volunteer effort between NYNJTC and MEVO.
NYNJTC/LDTC volunteers with technical experience pitched in alongside MEVO/Ramapo Earth Crew volunteers to get the job done.
MEVO had a great time getting the new bridge materials and tools to the work site, sawing wood for the bridge, building the bridge, finding, carrying and crushing rocks, and if that wasn’t enough, at the end of the day carrying out the tools and the damaged wood from the bridge. All in all everyone work hard but still had a great time.
Thank you all
The Ramapo Earth Crew is the result of melding the NYNJTC Ramapo Trail Crew with the MEVO Earth Crew. MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization) is a fellow local volunteer organization with an emphasis on environmental work and a history of working alongside the Trail Conference.
With a core of committed volunteer interns supplemented by any volunteers who want to join in, the Ramapo Earth crew aims to tackle a wide variety of projects in Northeastern New Jersey.
